Always wallpaper from one side towards the door.
Papering round windows and door openings the first overlap on a window should be cut as shown in the diagram.
Once the wallpaper has been smoothed out with a putty knife use it to push the wallpaper right up against the edge of the window trim.
Instead of cutting the wallpaper straight across start by making diagonal cuts in the paper from the edge of the overlap to the corner of the trim on a 45 degree angle.
Once you have made this cut you can fold the paper around the edge of the reveal and smooth out then cut the excess off from the window frame edge.

Wallpapering around doors is not as tricky as it might seem.
1 make sure the pattern aligns then carefully press the cut wallpaper length to the wall.
So let s approach it in a relaxed manner.
There will be a slight cut out for the window cill.
Once you have smoothed out the paper you need to get a sharp knife cut the wallpaper along the top of the reveal horizontally from the edge of the paper toward the side of the reveal.
Use your wallpapering brush or simply your hand to smooth the overlap from top to bottom onto the door frame.
